GCAC Servant Team

Stone Shih & Conny Shih

Senior Pastor & Family

Stone and Conny were led to the Lord as a couple having two sons and were baptized in 1995 at Boon Church. Ever since then, Stone has served in various capacity in the church, yet most notable is his long-held conviction of raising up a new generation of faithful, mission-oriented believers, as evident in his being the counselor of more than a few fellowships age ranging from middle school to high school to college and to young couples. Conny has faithfully taught Adult ESL class for over two decades and led many to the Lord by her own actions that spoke louder than words. Stone earned his Master of Divinity at Faith Bible Seminary in 2016, joined and accredited by C&MA as an official worker in 2017. Their persuasion is planting a church that is dedicated to the Great Commission, with a team of like-minded believers, in reaching out to the vulnerable Mandarin speaking teenage immigrants and their family, in discipleship, and in building up mission teams to carry the gospel locally and globally. The Lord led and help them planted Grace Christian Alliance Church in 2017.

John Guu & Esther Guu

Pastor and Family

God’s calling to full-time ministry came to Pastor John when he was in college as an engineering student. After John graduated from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with M.Div. degree in 1994, he and his wife Esther followed God’s guidance to plant and pastor Chinese churches in seven North American cities. During this period, God has given them two sons, Stephen and Paul, and led John to obtain his D.Min. degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. In 2011, God called and guided John bringing his family back to Taiwan and serving as both a full-time pastor in a local church and an adjunct faculty in a local seminary. The call to serve as a full-time seminary teacher came in 2015. Before going back to the field as a full-time pastor in 2021, while teaching in the seminary, John had also taken up some administrative responsibilities, as the director of student affairs from 2017 to 2018 and the president from 2019 to 2021. In 2023, obeying God’s guidance, John led his whole family back to the US joining the family and the servant team of Grace Chinese Alliance Church. All these were done in light of one objective: pastoring the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ. John and Esther are determined to continue doing so until seeing Him face to face.

Kenny Lo & Joanna Lo

Kenny and Joanna, both grew up in Christian faith, have been married for 30 years
and have two sons. While Joanna loves classical singing, Kenny plays a variety of instruments. They love to serve God’s people together.

Eric Dai & Catrina Dai

Church Elder & Family

Eric came to Christian faith and was baptized as a teenager in 1978. After coming to the US and earning his master degree in Industrial Engineering, he met Catrina at Boon Church and they started a family. After serving the Lord in church in all capacity over the past 40 years as a lay-person, Eric is well familiarized with all aspects of church operation and planning. Reflecting upon the favor and the grace God has lavished in their lives and family, they are not only grateful but also committed to the work of Christian Education in the church to build up true disciples for the Lord’s Great Commission.

Xin Yu Zhang

Director of After School / Administrative Assistant

Dear brothers and sisters, peace!

My name is Xinyu. I am currently serving at Grace Christian Alliance Church as the After School Program Director. I am grateful to God for leading me through life with His grace. Since graduating from Queen College in Education, I have been working and serving with different groups that are related to teaching children. I am firmly convinced that this is my responsibility and calling – serving children and their families, and leading more children and their families to God, as well as to share God’s love with them!
